Interim leadership

We are always interested in new technologies, new opportunities, and new markets. Because of our experience with technology transfer, managing intellectual property, early-stage company development, and funding, we have the expertise to guide a project from inception to reality.

Babs Carryer has founded and led multiple technology companies. These include:

RemComm, Inc., an emergency radio communications company that has developed the means of transferring data and voice over narrow bandwidth. RemComm's software provides reliable data transfer and data management in the absence of commercial power, internet, telephone, and cellphone service. Using readily available laptop computers and handheld radios, RemComm's radio-based software technology reconnects communications.

Babs is currently CEO and President of RemComm. The Company is marketing its radio-based systems to the emergency management market. Please see www.remcomm-inc.com for more information.

MIDASBio, a reference laboratory startup created to commercialize new technology developed at the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute. Dr. Anna Lokshin has invented a revolutionary new process for highly accurate early-stage cancer detection using multiple biomarkers that are found in a drop of blood. The first test being developed is for ovarian cancer. Data is also being generated for follow-on tests including: breast, pancreatic, lung, head & neck. Currently, this opportunity is being incubated and funded by the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

LaunchCyte LLC, a development company that creates, seeds and harvests life sciences innovations from leading research universities across the U.S. LaunchCyte currently has a portfolio of six companies. Babs was co-founder and President. See www.launchcyte.com for more information.
